Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The metal caster is a full-time entry-level position. The primary duties are to assist the production casting team. These duties include but are not limited to:
• Cleaning masters
• Spruing masters for mold lay-up
• Designing mold lay-up schemes for difficult parts
• Trouble-shooting mold performance problems
• Minimize material usage and labor costs
• Maximize efficiency of molds and their creation
• Solicit feedback from casting to improve molds
• Achieve daily quota for parts produced
• Assisting with special projects as required on an as needed basis
• Other duties as necessary

Qualifications:
• Must be able to work in our Woodinville/Maltby location
• Capable of working both individually and collaboratively

Job Description
The Digital Engineer is part of Privateer Press’ Studio team. This role is responsible for production breakdowns, modifying, and preparing sculpts for rapid prototyping. This includes sculpting on completed digital sculpts and operating SLA printers to supply miniatures to production departments. This role is also responsible for rendering images for other projects as directed.

This is a full-time position in our Woodinville, WA, office with remote work options.

Duties Include:
• Digital Production Breakdown and Revisions– Using ZBrush, you will make all cuts and revisions that are necessary to meet production needs for successful mass casting. This includes preparing and sending parts for rapid prototyping including making any necessary revisions for the rapid prototyping process.

• Sculpting miniatures utilizing digital software – As the schedule allows, the Digital Engineer will digitally sculpt models from concept and pose sketches. The Digital Engineer will consult with studio and production staff to ensure the themes and character of the figures are maintained and render the work-in-progress of various stages of completion for approvals and creative feedback.

• Contributing to the studio’s creative process – As a member of the miniatures studio, the Digital Engineer will often be called on to offer suggestions, critiques, and solutions for translating two-dimensional concept art into three-dimensional miniatures, whether on his own work or the work of other members of the studio.

Required Skills and Proficiencies
• Experience with and ZBrush software. Knowledge of other 3D programs is a plus.
• Experience with producing successful SLA prints
• Understanding and experience with digital sculpting process for three-dimensional models
• Acute attention to detail with a strong understanding of how the details will read at scale
• Patience, focus, and determination to see a project through completion
• Capability to work under the direction and needs of mold makers, production specialists, and artistic directors
• Ability to keep cool and produce quality work under deadlines
• Familiarity with Privateer Press’ properties. These include WARMACHINE, HORDES, Warcaster, Iron Kingdoms, Monsterpocalypse
• Familiarity with metal, resin, and plastic production methods
• A background in games or similarly creative job (e.g., video games, board games, comics, etc.)
• Experience working in a team environment
• The endurance to sit and/or stand while working on a computer for extended periods of time. Roughly 40 hrs. a week.
• The ability to focus without significant eye strain for long periods of time.

Preferred Skills and Proficiencies
• Familiarity with Privateer Press’ properties. These include WARMACHINE, HORDES, Iron Kingdoms, Monsterpocalypse, Bodgers, Grind, and Formula P3.
• Familiarity with metal, resin, and plastic production methods
• A background in games or similarly creative job (e.g., video games, board games, comics, etc.)
• Experience working in a team environment
• Great sense of humor, the ability to quote movies (good and bad), and a desire to participate in the development of a fast-paced, growing company
